The Story of Olde Man Mustang White Horse – December 19, 2008
Wildhorse Ranch Rescue

We have been getting calls about a white horse that is very skinny and looks like he's starving. We finally got really good directions to where this horse was last seen. He's near 347 and Riggs Road toward Maricopa, AZ.

I had my truck running and was just about to load it with horse food, hay and water, when Rusty, one of the directors on our board, pulled up. I asked him if he wanted to go on a journey to search for a white horse. Of course, he was up for it in a flash....even with a sprained ankle.

We loaded his truck with a bale of hay, some alfalfa, pellets, senior feed, a large water bucket and a large container of water and headed out to find "White Horse."

It took a while, but Rusty spotted him! He's on Gila River Indian Reservation. He's loose and is a mustang stallion. We put out the food in various locations where it's obvious he visits and we also left him some clean water.

He did move away from us, but then turned around to check out what we were doing.

We plan to go out once per week to provide food and water to him.

If anyone wants to assist, please let us know. He is on reservation land, so the best we can do is make sure he has food and water each week.

Happy Holidays....Kim Meagher (pronounced Ma-Her) - Wildhorse Ranch Rescue

12/22/2008 Kris and Kim went out to feed White Horse. We left 2 bales of Grass Hay, some flakes of Alfalfa and pellets.
