Tonka - has been adopted!

Tonka is a 22 yr old Dunn Quaterhorse gelding.  He was a search and rescue horse.
He is well trained.  Knows all the commands.  Can be ridden with beginners and children.  I have owned him for almost 2 years.  We have maintained his shots, shoeing, and floating of his teeth.  He recieves  psyllium monthly.  He is on a regular worming schedule.
Unknown to me when I bought him, he is arthritic. I moved him from a warmer climate.  He is fine in the spring, summer and fall.  But once winter sets in, he become stiff and in pain.  I started him on MSM in the fall when I first purchased him.  Since then I have added a liquid joint supplement, and ycucca.  He is also on a daily regiment of inflammation and pain reducer.  I brush and massage him daily. I also stretch and walk him to keep his joints flexible.

I board him at my neighbors, but they are selling their home and now I need to find a new home for him.  I have tried many of the programs that use horses with disabled children and adults, but they tell me he is too problematic.  At this point, I have no where to place him and wish for a warm, gentle location and sympathetic owners.
