Many of you have been reading about the Salt River Horses and the US Forest Service's Plan to round them up and remove them from their home.  While the USFS has agreed to postpone the round up at the urging of Senator John McCain, Senator Jeff Flake, Arizona Governor Doug Ducy and Arizona Rep. Kelly Townsend, it is just that, a delay. Please continue to send letters, email and make calls on behalf of protecting Americas Wild Horses! Too  many people are making a lot of money with these cruel round-ups and the horses pay the ultimate price.

Please call your Senators to voice your objection to the Tonto Forest Services inhumane round-up!

We had a fun evening of working with Nyx last week!  If you didn't know, Nyx has been at our ranch for about a year, and is still very wild.  We are working on haltering her for some much needed farrier and vet care.  With the help of the Parelli method we are making giant leaps towards getting her halter trained!

We had to let this sweet girl cross over the rainbow bridge yesterday.  Please keep our herd and volunteers in your thoughts.  Kit was abandoned on someones property 3 years ago and was sent to the kill auction where she and another mare (Vivian) were rescued by Roger Cardillo, WHRR Director.  To make a donation in honor of Kit you can use this link.  Kit was a shining example of the quote:

"Saving One Animal Won’t Change the World But It Will Change The World For That One Animal."

Thanks to our generous supporters we were able to rescue 3 new horses and 1 mule.  This is just the beginning for these new additions.  Now comes the hard work of vet care, farrier, feeding and day to day necessities.  It is an uphill battle but we can do it with your support!  If you would like to help, donations can be made here.
