Michael Patrick Moran, 49, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 after a brave 20-month battle against Glioblastoma Multiforme, one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer. He is survived by his wife of 13 years Cassandra (Ernst) Moran, mother Peggy Moran, aunt Harriette Moran, father-in-law Robert Ernst, mother-in-law Rose Ernst, brothers-in-law Robert Ernst Jr. and Jonathan Ernst, and many cousins and other extended family members. He was predeceased by his father John L. Moran.
Michael was born in Fullerton, CA and grew up in Scottsdale, AZ where he attended Phoenix Country Day School. He graduated from University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1994 and a Master’s Degree in Special Education in 1997. For over 20 years, he was a well-liked Special Education teacher at North Canyon High School in Phoenix, AZ. He put his very heart and soul into his profession, and did his best to reach every single student. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife Cassandra and their unique and adorable cats, reading, music, movies, and traveling. He also liked to watch sports, especially the Suns and the Diamondbacks.
