Pokey is a sorrel Quarter horse gelding, about 15 hands.  He is approx 22 years old and we have had him for 7 years.  He is broke to ride and would do well with an experienced adult.  Unfortunately, we have a neighbor that complained to the city about 1 too many horses on our property…we have 3 and are only allowed to have 2 in Chandler.   We are now being forced to find Pokey a new home.  I cannot sell him due to a medical issue.  He does not sweat during the summer if he is not on medication – it’s called One AC.  I need to find him a rescue or a home that is willing to care for him with this medical issue.  Pokey does great with other horses, dogs, and goats.  Can you please direct me to a foster home for him?  He is a great boy and it is killing us to place him somewhere else.  It’s very important that he goes to a great home.

He is a 1999 AQHA gelding a 1999 AQHA World Champion Halter horse. He is not broke to ride. He is very sweet and gentle, no bad habits. He would would be a great companion or therapy horse.
