Leaf was rescued by filmmaker, Mira Tweti on 9/26/2009 at National Wild Horse Adoption Day. Leaf was sold without limitation and for only $10. That meant that anyone could buy her, for any reason, including slaughter. Mira probably saved Leaf's life.
