Tom McFall

In Memory of Tom McFall

Tom was a long time volunteer for the Kitty City program at Wildhorse Ranch Rescue. He absolutely adored the cats and considered them his family.

From Celeste Johnson, our Kitty City Manager:

When Tom joined the Kitty City Team; there were only a few volunteers.  I can remember the first time I met him.  He had the biggest smile on his face.  We were in with the kitties that he would soon call his “buddies.”  Tom quickly learned the names of all the 24 kitties in Majestic Garden, Kitty City, and those running loose on the Ranch.  Then came all his wonderful pictures.  He captured their personalities.  He interacted so beautifully with each one.  The kitties loved him.

Tom was a team player.  His enthusiasm for his volunteering endeavor, work ethic, and love of all the animals at Wildhorse touched many at the Ranch.  People have often asked about him.

I know if Tom walked into Kitty City today; Mustard, and Creature would run over to him for attention.  They would never forget their “buddy.”

From Andreana and J-T:
Knowing Tom was knowing his love was for few things, but that love was deep and constant. Tom loved his Chicago Bears, Band Maid (the all female Japanese rock band), playing the drums and above all else Tom LOVED cats.  For as long as I knew Tom, he was either actively participating in volunteer work with local cat rescues or spoiling the pets of the people in his life. For years volunteering at Kitty City gave respite and purpose to Tom. He spoke of each cat he cared for at Kitty City by name.  He told stories about them as if they were members of Tom's family to everyone he knew.  In almost two decades of knowing Tom Kitty City held one of the brightest spots in his life.  I even got the opportunity to go be introduced to some of the cats by Tom. He'd grieve over them when they passed, he'd celebrate their good health and recant their adventures. These animals were more than pet therapy for Tom. I can not think of anything Tom would want more than for those who loved him to know of the work Kitty City does and to help contribute to their cause. Rest well Tom.

We were so fortunate to know Tom and have him as a long time volunteer. He truly loved the kitties and considered them as family.
