Maverick was born June 30, 2024 in the wild. He had a severe injury on his leg. We suspect it was from a Rattlesnake bite. With the help of the amazing Gray Mountain Horse Heroes, and Dr. Steve Hill, from 3-H Ranch in Flagstaff, we were able to rescue Maverick. He spent a fair amount of time in the hospital and was under round the clock care at 3-H Ranch. He eventually ended up with a surgery that required a metal rod be placed into his leg, That was performed by Dr. Howard at Arizona Equine Surgical and Medical Centre in Gilbert, AZ. Maverick's recovery was guarded. 

Maverick is now a healthy, happy boy, and he has a family of his very own. For his birthday, Maverick would like you to consider making a donation to help his rescued friends.
