Wildhorse Ranch Rescue Inc., (WHRR) Gilbert, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to saving equines from abuse, neglect, slaughter and premature death, on May 2, 2009, will host its Empty Bowls benefit to “Feed a Horse in Need.”

With a donation of $20, guests receive a handmade artist’s bowl, soup or chili, cornbread and the signed CD “Vanilla” by singer/songwriter Marian Call who will perform that night. In turn donations will help to feed WHRR’s herd of rescued horses and mules. You can visit Marian Call’s Web site at www.mariancall.com.

The night of music under the stars with Marian Call will also feature a patio bar, gift shop and everyone’s favorite barn tours of WHRR’s rescued herd. The dog friendly event welcomes pooches on a leash.

Tickets are limited for this event. To ensure that you receive a bowl and CD please pre-purchase your tickets online at www.mudpony.com. Click on “Gift Shop & Event Tickets” on the left.

“Our first Empty Bowls benefit in 2008 was a great success that helped us feed our rescued herd,” said Rhona Melsky, director, Wildhorse Ranch Rescue. “We hope that people will join us again for a wonderful evening of food and great music knowing that they can help to ‘Feed a Horse in Need.’”

All proceeds from the Empty Bowls Benefit will help feed and care for WHRR’s resident rescue herd, which includes five retired U.S. Forest Service equines that were retired to the rescue so that they did not end up at the slaughterhouse.

So come on down to Wildhorse Ranch Rescue to help the animals. WHRR brings out the best in us all and helps us all to do our best to save and protect animals.

Wildhorse Ranch Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving equines from abuse, neglect, slaughter and premature death. All donations to WHRR are tax deductible as allowed by the IRS.
