Covid 19
To our Wildhorse Family:

While ensuring the health and well being of our Wildhorse Animal Family is top priority, our Volunteers, Donors and Supporters health and safety are no exception.

With the growing concern and recent National Emergency issued regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19)  we'd like to share what we've learned regarding animals and the virus as well as recommendations for our on-site Volunteers at the ranch.

Like most Animal Rescue's we are taking extra precautions and following expert guidelines from theCenters for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

Our Volunteers are paramount to the everyday success of keeping our Wildhorse Animal Family happy and healthy.  We value their dedication to our rescued animals. We ask if Volunteers are not feeling well, to please remain home and take care of themselves and their family first.  Our Managers do have a contingency plan for when Volunteers are unable to attend their shift.  We have an alternate Volunteer population list that we can call upon should Volunteers not be able to attend a shift.

Additionally, we are placing extra hand sanitizer stations around the ranch for Volunteers to utilize as well as antibacterial soaps, tissues and extra paper products. We understand that due to the requirement of our work, Volunteers work in close proximity to one another and encourage frequent washing of hands. Our public bathroom and sinks are stocked with antibacterial soap, sanitizer and regular soap for those that are unable to tolerate the antibacterial kind.

The AZ Human Association has issued a statement that indicated per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there is no evidence that companion animals can spread COVID-19.

It is suggested that Pet Owners ensure that they have an Emergency Kit prepared for their pets including extra medication, food and medical records as well as a family member or friend that can be contacted should a person become ill.

Wildhorse Management is making sure that we have access to Feed, Hay, Medication and Supplements should it become challenging to obtain any of these items in the near future.

As we continue to learn more about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we will continue to keep you updated should something change within our daily operations. Our Management Team is keeping a close eye on the current situation and is dedicated to keeping our Wildhorse Family (both 4 and 2 legged) healthy and safe during this time.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to any of the Wildhorse Management Team Members.
